Betterloop resources

A reading room for your rollout.

Practical material for choosing, introducing, and checking shared agent workflows.

Bring one question from your team. Use these guides to turn it into a change you can inspect and a result you can check.

Match the reading to a decision

A rollout involves more than installing a package. Someone must own shared changes, developers must activate the integration, and reviewers need a useful result. Each subject has a different starting point.

Begin with the decision that currently prevents progress. If resource ownership is unclear, resolve that before testing runtime behavior. If ownership is settled, check the client action that matters.

Match the reading to a decision

These records keep discussion concrete. A platform owner can inspect the requirement while a developer checks the same case locally. Neither person needs to interpret a broad promise about agent quality.

Carry a small case through the material

For an illustrative exercise, choose one approved tool operation. Decide which input should be permitted and which should be restricted. This exercise is a teaching example, not a customer result.

  • Describe the operation and its permitted inputs.
  • Identify the client event that can check it.
  • Read the prerequisites for that event.
  • Record the selected rules revision.
  • Run the permitted and restricted cases.
  • Keep the observed decisions with the expected results.
  • Assign an owner to each unresolved difference.

The permitted case matters because an overrestrictive setup can pass a denial test. The restricted case matters because installed files do not establish that a check ran.

When evidence is missing, preserve the open question. Use the diagnostic instructions to find the failed step. Repeat the relevant case after correction rather than assuming recovery succeeded.

Before you use an example

Are the worked situations measured deployments?

They explain mechanisms using hypothetical conditions. Measured harness results appear separately with the reports from which the figures were taken.

Does selecting a resource make its behavior mandatory?

Its support category determines that. Reviewed guidance, conditional native checks, runtime gates, and unsupported actions have different effects.

How much should we evaluate first?

Select one team, one client, and a consequential requirement. Expand only after the team can identify its revision and demonstrate the relevant behavior.
