Team workbooks

Work through one setup decision.

Practical workbooks for shared rules, reviewed resources, device checks, and lessons worth sharing.

Bring a real question from your team. These workbooks help you reach a specific decision with evidence you can discuss.

Bring the people who own the decision

A useful working session connects the person who maintains rules with someone who uses them. Their questions usually differ.

The owner wants a reviewable change. The developer wants to understand what will happen in the next session.

Choose one repository that represents normal work. Keep its agent, team connection, and relevant native settings visible throughout the session.

The workbooks use fictional situations. Harbor, Search, and search-api illustrate decisions; they do not describe customers or measured product results.

You can adapt the situations without adopting their task details. Keep the relationship between the proposed change and the evidence you need.

The goal is a decision another person can understand. That might be adopting a baseline, repairing activation, or keeping an observation private.

Prepare the working session

  1. 01

    Choose a live question

Write the decision your team needs to make.

  2. 02

    Describe the current setup

Record the team release, company revision, native agent, and installed version.

  3. 03

    Agree on evidence

Select a small task that demonstrates the requirement under discussion.

  4. 04

    Read the relevant workbook

Use its example to organize your own evaluation.

  5. 05

    Keep the result

Record the decision and its supporting observations.

Use the workbooks in a sensible order

Start with baseline adoption when a company change must reach a team. A team keeps its reviewed company revision until explicit adoption.

Use resource approval when someone proposes a skill, reference, workflow, or executable addition. Examine content and required permissions as separate decisions.

Use the device workbook when an installation result leaves questions unanswered. It connects each requirement to the installed client and an observable check.

Use the learning workbook after a correction has useful verification. It explains how a private candidate can reach review without sharing raw work.

You do not need to complete every workbook for every task. Select the one that resolves the uncertainty preventing your next decision.

Leave with a bounded conclusion

A successful session produces a statement with a clear scope. For example, the selected Codex device applied the reviewed resource during the sample task.

That observation does not establish behavior on every developer device. Keep the release, native version, and tested requirement attached to the result.

Some questions need repository work rather than configuration changes. Missing acceptance criteria or an unreliable test cannot be repaired by selecting more guidance.

Keep private paths, customer data, and command output in the appropriate local record. Shared summaries should contain only the information their readers need.

Revisit the result after a relevant release or native client change. Earlier evidence provides a starting point for that review.
